It's been 15 years since I recorded I.S.S.'s debut, "Forget About The Girl." I penned a ton of material for the follow up between 2002-2006 but never got around to recording it. I have finally updated my recording studio, have a nice space for it in my basemen (next to the furnace), and have begun the tedious recording process for the long overdue "She's A Girl" album. The results so far have been unexpectedly amazing as there is a lot of new computer software that can allow someone like me, who has no budget for a recording, access the sounds of thousands of different instruments and the emulations of the expensive recording gear of the 60's that sound pretty gosh darn close to the original. I have been able to get a really authentic 60's sound beyond anything I had been able to produce heretofore. I am really excited about this record and to be doing music again, even if it is just a "hobby' now! What is even more exciting to me, is how good it feels to be adding new ideas to songs that are 15 years old. It almost feels like I am collaborating with myself who was a very different me then. Some ideas that are emerging now make me think, "I never would have done this back then." Somehow, maybe, I was supposed to wait this long. record is almost done and slated for release Jaunary, 1st, 2018 (available as CD or download).
